BEHIND KC DESIGN

Hey there, I’m Kaitlyn Cox. I have called Iowa home my entire life – I absolutely love it here. My passion for all things design started developing when I was a little tike and eventually led me to Iowa State University where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Architecture in the College of Design in 2016. Go Cyclones!

Since graduating, I have worked for and with several builders, big and small, in the Des Moines area. I have collaborated on all aspects of the building process from plan creation and iteration, to spec designing entire developments, and my favorite part – working closely with hundreds of custom homebuyers to create the home of their dreams. Whether designing a functional floor plan or producing dynamic marketing collateral, I love being involved in this creative world and seeing a project come to fruition. Having the opportunity to work even closer with clients to truly create their vision through my originality is exactly why I started KC Design.

When I am not working, my time is typically spent with my family and friends. I am so blessed to have most of them live right here in Ankeny – especially now that I am a first-time aunt! My favorite place to be is on a volleyball court, whether that is a gym or at the beach – you’ll often catch me playing and sometimes even coaching! Trying out new recipes is a must at my house – especially if pasta or steak is involved. Let's create your vision!
